At our school, we believe that "fair" doesn't mean everyone gets the same thing; it means everyone gets what they need to be successful. Our Special Education and Dyslexia programs are designed to provide specialized, evidence-based instruction that meets students exactly where they are.

🌟 Special Education: Personalized Paths to Success

Our Special Education program is rooted in the belief that every student has strengths to be leveraged and challenges to be supported. We focus on the "whole child," ensuring academic, social, and emotional growth.

  • Individualized Education Programs (IEP): We work closely with families to create a roadmap of goals specifically tailored to your child’s needs.

  • Inclusion & Support: Whenever possible, we support students within the general education classroom (Inclusion), providing "push-in" support so they remain part of their peer community.

  • Small Group Instruction: For more intensive needs, students receive "pull-out" services in a calm, focused environment to work on specific skills like math computation, social stories, or organizational habits.

  • Life Skills & Independence: Beyond academics, we help students develop self-advocacy skills, learning how to ask for what they need to succeed.

📖 Dyslexia Support: Empowering Bright Minds

Dyslexia is simply a different way of processing language—and often comes with incredible strengths in creativity and problem-solving. Our Dyslexia program uses proven, multisensory techniques to help students "crack the code" of reading and writing.

  • Multisensory Learning: We use the Orton-Gillingham approach (or your school's specific program), which engages sight, hearing, and touch to help students connect sounds to letters.

  • Phonological Awareness: We dive deep into the rhythm and sounds of language, helping students build a rock-solid foundation for spelling and decoding.

  • Confidence Building: We help students understand that their brains are "wired differently," not "broken." We focus on building the resilience and stamina needed for fluent reading.

  • Assistive Technology: Students learn to use tools like speech-to-text, audiobooks, and specialized fonts that help remove barriers to learning.
