The Society for Science selected 100 outstanding educators from across the nation for this prestigious program, which is designed to expand student access to original scientific research and STEM competitions.
Through the program, Advocates receive year-round professional development, mentorship, leadership training, and financial support to help create more opportunities for students to explore science and pursue their own research.
For Mr. Garza, this opportunity is about much more than professional recognition. It is about bringing those opportunities home to Monte Alto and to the students of JBPA.
From rocketry and STEM competitions to astronomy, scientific research, and hands-on inquiry, Mr. Garza continues to work toward creating a culture where our students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, conduct research, and see themselves as future scientists, engineers, and innovators. πππ§ͺ
We are especially proud that a science educator from our community is part of this nationwide network of teacher leaders dedicated to expanding access to STEM opportunities.
Congratulations, Mr. Garza! ππ
Your passion for science and your commitment to our students continue to make a difference. We are excited to see how you bring this experience back to Jose Borrego Preparatory Academy and Monte Alto ISD!
